Our client has its global HQ on the East Coast USA and is a rapidly growing robotic automation equipment manufacturer to the Life science sector spanning Pharma, Biotech and major academic institutions. From its beginning in 2002 it now has global operations and customer base and a workforce in excess of 300 people. It provides novel instrumentation and applications to the fields of protein crystallography, liquid handling robotics and digital PCR.

This role for Germany, Austria and Switzerland Sales Representative is pivotal to the growth of the European business and strengthens an already established European sales and support team. The ideal candidate will have as minimum a Life science based degree. Higher qualifications (MsC/ PHD) would be positively viewed although are not mandatory. They will absolutely have life science laboratory experience and ideally have hands on familiarity with current genomic technology and liquid handling automation instrumentation. In addition commercial experience in a customer facing role within the sector would be highly desirable as would previous inside or field sales experience. We will consider the right candidate transitioning from applications, support and inside sales roles to a field sales environment. Although part of an established team the person must be able to work autonomously without micromanagement. They will be able to demonstrate on customers sites both applications and instrumentation and have excellent customer relationship skills.

European Technical Sales Specialist

We are seeking candidates with in depth scientific knowledge, enthusiasm and ambition and the ability to translate those qualities to a commercial career for future personal and career growth.


Based in Europe, and ideally either the UK or Germany, the position is responsible for progressing knowledge of the technology products we promote to our clients customer base through use of a variety of life science commercial skills, science, sales and support.

Success will require an intimate understanding and significant experience of life science molecular biology. Specific experience with any of the following fields, protein purification, chromatography, nucleic acid purification, instrumentation sales, drug discovery and 3D cell technology would be deemed highly desirable. Candidates will be considered from a purely research background although ideally we would like to see a minimum of 12 months experience in the commercial field in a customer facing role. Additional language skills would be viewed favourably. Experience working successfully in a small team and without micromanagement is desirable.
